Rules... stolen from JOH, and modified just a bit...

1) There is a Town. They win by getting rid of the mafia/non-friendly neutrals. Each night, many of them do something (investigate or protect for instance) to try to find the mafia. During the day, they try to vote off the mafia.

2) There is a Mafia, maybe even more than one. They win by getting rid of everybody that isn't in their mafia. Each night, they will remove townies from the game. Each day, they will try to prevent the townies from voting them off.

3) If more than half the players vote for the same player during the day (i.e. Majority), that player is lynched and is removed from the game. You should bold your lynch votes so that I don't miss them or think you are kidding. You can vote for anyone but chances are nothing will happen if you try to lynch someone who isn't playing. You can also vote for a No Lynch, but some mods will remove a random player from the game to ensure that the game doesn't stagnate if no player is voted off. Leaving a vote with a player is something I do NOT allow. It's lazy. Show some cojones.

4) There are unfriendly neutrals that could be trying to kill everybody or recruit their own mafia or maybe something else entirely. They win in odd ways but they hurt the town so the town must eliminate them to win.

5) There are friendly neutrals. They also have strange win conditions but they don't really hurt the town. Sometimes they can win with either the town or the mafia but in general the town doesn't need to get rid of them. Friendly and unfriendly neutrals are hard to tell apart and you'll just have to use your best judgment on whether you want to vote for them or leave them be.

6) Don't do these 3 things: Quote your role pm or the role pm of anybody else, talk about this game outside of this thread even via pm unless you are pming a mason teammate or a mafia teammate, edit your posts. If you do one of these 3 things, you may be modkilled to ensure the game's fairness. I'm a stickler for these. You see how it says 'may'? Assume may = will.

Night 0

Welcome to the town of Darqsipod. I wish I could say it was a dark and stormy night - give it a sense of foreboding - but the truth is, Darqsipod is that nearly perfect little town, 350 days of sunshine a year, never too hot, never too cold. The sun is just setting over the mountains, leaving a reddish hue over our little hamlet, a day ending in sheer peace, like any other. The worst crimes that have ever occurred here were the occasional graffiti markings, and lately, some shoplifting down by a small pack of rambunctious kiddies. Darqsipod is that quaint little town where people feel so safe, they leave their doors unlocked.

And that, sadly, has made them ripe for the plucking.

In a mansion on the hills, a group of longtime associates meet in secret. At the head of the table sat a stunningly handsome man with his hands folded in frustration.

"It's time, my friends. They are beginning to forget us; forget all we've done. They are taking us for granted. This town used to be ours, and now these upstarts actually think they can push us out? Push me out?!? If it wasn't for us, they would have nothing! Nothing!"

"Calm down, boss…"

"I will not calm down! I want them dead! All of them!", he raged, spittle flying everywhere from an angry face. "If they won't give us the respect we deserve, we'll raze Darqsipod to the ground. Any objections?!"

They all looked at each other, grimacing a bit, but all of them nodded their heads in near unison. Once the boss got a thought in his head, he couldn't be deterred.

"Good. Now kid, being our newest member, it's time to earn your keep. If we're gonna start somewhere, we've gotta go old school. Cut off the head, and the rest of the body will follow. You know what to do?"

The teenager had a hint of fear in his eyes, but also a smirk indicating a perverse pleasure at the request. "Consider it done."

A few hours later, darkness enshrouded the town, and the young man leisurely walked down the street. No one would be suspicious of him, not tonight. As he approached the door to City Hall, he appeared to hesitate, seemingly shaking in fear. But in reality, he was quivering with excitement. Finally, he could prove his loyalty to the boss, and maybe impress his secret love.

Stepping in, he saw his target, leaning back in his chair, reading a copy of the Darqsipod Daily. The teenage sociopath could clearly read the word "Auditions" in bold letters on the front page.

A rage bubbled up from beneath him, and he pulled out his weapon, flipping it open in one fluid motion. The victim heard a creak in the floorboards, and bent the pages down to see who it was; but it was too late, as in a flash, the killer slashed his throat, dousing himself in an arterial spray that he would hate to wash off that night.

Through a bubbly gurgle, and with his final breath, he pushed out, "But… why?"

Licking the blood off his weapon, he simply whispered, "Because someone had to be first."

DarqFeonix is dead! He was Fight The Power, Alignment: Yellow Tape, and Mayor of Darqsipod for as long as anyone could remember.
